Law degree from the School of Law of the University of Coimbra (Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra).

Judge with 22 years of magistracy, specialized in the jurisdiction of the Family and Children’s Law since 2014.

Trainer in postgraduate courses at the Centre for Family Law of the School of Law of the University of Coimbra, at the School of Law of the Classical University of Lisbon and at the Lisbon School of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University.

Speaker in several activities concerning to Family and Children matters, such as continuing training for magistrates, congresses, round tables and conferences, at national and international level, being also author and co-author of articles related to shared parenting and of comments and annotations to Family and Children’s laws regarding the Portuguese legal framework of adoption and of foster care.

Since September 2018, is trainer at the Centre for Judicial Studies, being responsible for the initial training of magistrates in Family and Children’s Law, as well as in the field of Ethics and Deontology.

In addition, he carries out the planning and the organization of the continuing training for magistrates in the area of Family and Children’s Law.

Project Coordinator at the Department of International Relations of the Centre for Judicial Studies.

Representative of Portugal in the Working Group of Methodologies (Judicial Training Methods) of the European Judicial Training Network and, since 2019, its coordinator (convenor).

Trainer certified by the HELP Program of the Council of Europe, being co-responsible for the Portuguese edition of the online course “Child Friendly Justice”.
